Lowell is a thriving city in Northwest Arkansas, with 7,327 residents as of the 2010 census. Located within Benton County and situated between Eureka Springs and Siloam Springs on Highway 12’s west side exit ramp off Interstate 49/40. Lowell was first settled along Old Wire Road in 1840s by pioneers who were determined to flourish despite Civil War destruction that left only two houses standing after this bloody battle over slavery; they rebuilt their community again until J. R. McClure established his settlement at present-day Kintnerville which grew when St Louis–San Francisco Railway came through 1880s while trucking company headquarters are located here today for JB Hunt Company founder Johnnie Bryan Hunt whose vision has changed transportation industry forever
